This masterful expression begins its journey by maturing in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, building a foundation of soft vanilla and honey notes. The liquid is then transferred to rare casks first used for 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry. This secondary maturation adds depth and silken elegance to the finished whisky, testament to those exquisite Sherry casks. At 43.8% ABV, The Dalmore 21 Year has developed into a rare thing of beauty. Like the number on the bottle, it is a true coming-of-age whisky. This limited release consists of just 1,000 bottles for the US, with secondary market prices of the series reaching up to $2,000.

PALATE : Bitter chocolate, Seville blood orange and subtle spice with sweet liquorice.

NOSE : Colombian coffee on the nose,

The Dalmore’s heritage dates back to 1263. It was in this year that Colin of Kintail, Chief of the Clan Mackenzie, saved King Alexander III from the fury of a charging stag. In recognition of this noble act the King granted the Mackenzie Clan the right to use the 12 pointed Royal stag emblem on their coat of arms.

When descendants of the Clan became owners of The Dalmore distillery in 1867, the Royal Stag became the recognisable icon that proudly adorns each bottle of The Dalmore today; an emblem which encapsulates a rich past whilst also embodying a promise that The Dalmore will remain at the pinnacle of single malt.
